When we started Love Beauty and Planet, we promised to always be open, honest and transparent in all that we do. That’s why we’ll never hide or disguise what goes into our bottles. Have a look!
Natural
Natural ingredients are ingredients obtained only from plants or microbiological origin, including those materials obtained by: Physical processes, Fermentation reactions that would occur in nature or extracted using natural solvents such as water. This is aligned to standards defined by the ISO (International Organization for Standardization).
Non-natural
We class these as ingredients which contain less than 50% plant or microbiological content by molecular weight and are derived from fossil fuels or other ingredients which do not fall into the defined categories. We have aligned non-natural ingredients based on independent standards defined by ISO (International Organization for Standardization)
Plant-based
Plant-based ingredients are those where the majority of the final material has come from a plant source. We define the minimum level that at least 50% of the final molecular weight must be derived from plants. The remainder can come from either plant or non-natural origin. This is aligned to the independent standards defined by the ISO (International Organization for Standardization).
Mineral
These are inorganic substances occuring naturally in the earth having a distinctive chemical formula and a consistent set of physical properties. Ingredients such as salt fall into this bracket. We have defined mineral based on independent standards defined by the ISO (International Standards Organisation)
Preservative
Preservation is a critical part of product safety to ensure the formulation can be both stable and safe for use over an extended period of time. We have yet to define a natural preservative that meets our stringent safety standards. So we have decided to stay with synthetic preservatives as we feel they are the best option at this time
Fragrance Extracts
Provides a distinctive pleasant smell, each infused with an ethical sourced essential oil or absolute.
