Introducing The Love Beauty and Planet Project!
Are you a boat-rocker, action taker, or changemaker working to reduce carbon and working toward a more equitable climate future?
We have $100,000 in grants to invest in you & the wellbeing for our communities and our planet’s future!
Since launch, Love Beauty and Planet has taken its impact on our planet and communities very seriously. Our carbon tax program is one way we hold ourselves accountable – taxing ourselves $40 per carbon ton emitted from our production through to distribution at our customers. This year we’ll be using part of these funds to create The Love Beauty and Planet Project – a grants initiative awarding up to $100,000 to people and their projects that improve the wellbeing and health of our planet and the people on it by reducing carbon emissions, starting in the communities that need our help most.
Grant allocations may range from $1,000 up to $20,000, supporting projects that improve recycling rates, reduce plastic waste, and/or sequester carbon emissions with particular attention to projects serving marginalized and underserved communities. Communities of color and low-income communities are disproportionately impacted by climate change, and and to us, a more beautiful planet starts with one that is both clean and just.
Love Beauty and Planet has always been on a mission for #smallactsoflove that add up to make a difference for our planet - and that includes everyone on it.

Small Act: Standardizing recycling labels across America
Growing up along Miami’s world-famous beaches, Alexa Green turned her passion for nature into her life’s work. The Director of National Outreach at Recycle Across America Open in new window , Alexa is on a mission to standardize recycling labels across the country and save tons of recyclables from ending up in landfills.
Most recently, she’s championed a partnership with the National Parks System, which led to adoption of standardized labels in several national parks.

After witnessing the fashion industry’s waste firsthand, Jessica Schreiber pioneered a system of recycling and reuse with her startup

Since then, she’s partnered with over 100 brands to responsibly and conveniently collect their discarded materials and process them for use in insulation, new fabric, or new garments.

Small Act: Minimizing waste in the local food system
Whitney Jaye is a champion at establishing a resourceful, sustainable, and waste-free lifestyle in the underserved communities of Atlanta.
Through her work as a Farmer-in-Residence at the Urban Conservation Training Institute Open in new window , she trains young people of color on sustainable agriculture, creating a closed loop system, and minimizing waste in the local food system.
