our goals

get to know our 6 goals for a better future

Since our launch in 2018, we’ve been on a journey to make you and the planet cleaner, greener and more beautiful. And that starts with small but strong steps paired with BIG ambitions. Over the next 10 years, we look forward to continually pushing the boundaries on what it means to create great beauty products that give love to our communities and our planet. Below is our vision for where we’d like to make the most impact by the year 2030.

people & planet-friendly disposal

We are committing that 100% of our product and packaging portfolio will allow for people-and-planet friendly disposal, with all packaging made with 100% recycled materials. We will also continue to invest in recycling access and collection across all markets where we operate.

what does that mean?

  • 100% of our packaging will be recyclable, compostable or reusable
  • Any formulation that can wash off into our waterways will be 100% biodegradable
  • Continued investment to support recycling collection infrastructure – we use recycled materials to create our bottles, so we know collecting used recyclables is super important

sustainably sourced

We are committed to achieving a deforestation-free supply chain and ensuring all possible ingredients will be 100% ethically and regeneratively sourced by 2030.

what does that mean?

  • We will annually evaluate our industry for ingredients that we can source ethically and regeneratively; surely lots of change will happen over the next 10 years
  • We’ll work with our suppliers to ensure ethically sourced programs are built into their operations, starting with ensuring that everyone who directly provides goods and services to us will earn a living wage or a living income, by 2030

net zero carbon emissions

We commit to net zero emissions by 2030 from production through to distribution. We will eliminate our owned emissions & prioritize reducing all other emissions across our supply chain and only offset where necessary.

what does that mean?

  • When we talk about our ‘owned’ emissions, we mean emissions coming from our own factories and sites
  • For our products that we source from 3rd party manufacturers, we’ll partner with these operations to accelerate more climate-friendly practices too
  • For any emissions we cannot completely eliminate, we will offset with our Carbon Tax Funds – and will share details on where we’re investing

water conscious

We are committing that all eligible product formulations are 100% biodegradable by 2030, minimizing our impact on water and aquatic ecosystems. We also commit to addressing water security in our key markets.

what does that mean?

  • Any formulation that can wash off into our waterways will be 100% biodegradable
  • We will help address water security by contributing a portion of our Carbon Tax Funds towards Water Funds, starting in the markets where we operate

benevolent innovation

We are committing to pioneering planet-centric innovations that enhance the beauty of your hair, smile and skin.

what does that mean?

  • We will continue to create new-planet-centric beauty products with sustainable designs, formulations and packaging
  • To keep us on our toes, we will do an ongoing audit of available technologies – always ensuring we’re on the forefront of what’s possible

small acts of love

By 2030, we are committing to enable 5 million small acts of love in support of our communities, starting with those most affected by climate change across all markets where we operate.

what does that mean?

  • We believe in the potential and power of small actions. Whether it’s receiving a community grant through The Love Beauty and Planet Project, mentoring a planet changemaker or downloading some educational planet facts – we are committed to transforming our communities’ passion for our planet into impact.
